…everything takes on a reddish hue…
A picture a day group photoblogging. We shall each publish one new original photograph each day, taken within a week of publication.

Theme sequence
Tomorrow early morning, I shall be undergoing tonsilectomy and a few additional modifications to my nose and throat, as a part of Stanford Hospital and Sleep Clinic trying to deal with my sleep apnea.
As such, I do not really expect to be in a photography or posting mood for a while, and thus will be serving up photos from our recent road trip through Big Sur to LA from last weekend.
These photos will come later than the 7 days in my original rules — but hopefully I can make up for that with the contents of the photos.
TTFN.

Lasercut loot: poem on tealight holder
Etched into IKEA tealight holders.
Var inte rädd för mörkret
Ty ljuset vilar där.
Vi ser ju inga stjärnor
Där intet mörker är.
I ljusa irisiringen
Du bär en mörk pupill.
Ty mörkt är allt som ljuset
Med bävan längtar till.
Var inte rädd för mörkret
Ty ljuset vilar där.
Var inte rädd för mörkret,
som ljusets hjärta bär.

Like dominoes, they fall
First, it was just one house sagging a little. Marshland underneath, solid foundations but nothing underneath it.
Later on, one by one, the neighbouring houses slipped along — in an eternally slow, infinitely gradual domino topple.
Not that the inhabitants let it bother them. San Francisco earthquakes happen on a swifter timescale than this.

Goodbye TechShop SF
I've had a month long membership at TechShop SF, and have been using their laser cutters approx. 8h/week this entire month through.
Here one of my latest products from this time — the first 4 iterations of the Koch snowflake curve, cut out of mirrored, blue transparent, yellow-green neon transparent and red neon transparent acrylic.
My last day was today, and I bid them adieu with quite some melancholy. More photos of my various laser cut projects will appear here as I get around to photographing them all.
