My friend and colleague Radmila kindly posed in front of Utah's magnificent mountains.

Perched

The snow melts away more around the parking spot for this snowmobile than it does under it. Hence, as the summer rolls in, the snowmobile perches higher and higher.

Just as outside San Jose, on the flight in to Salt Lake City, these very colourful fields revealed themselves.

The same view as yesterday. Light hand on editing -- a bit of color boost, but not even all that much. Most of this is good exposure and a gorgeous sky.

Bright colours in South Bay

As we flew in over San Jose, the wetlands and waters in the South Bay turned out to all have bright colours. Gorgeous. Alas, the reflections in the airport window makes the picture slightly washed out.

Famous inter alia for the use by Nasa for space shuttles; the famous huge hangar is clearly visible in the lower right corner of the picture.
